The arrive of Central Railway rake with clubbed ladies coaches is delayed
MUMBAI: Central Railway's plan to introduce a 15-car rake in which all the five ladies coaches are clubbed together has been delayed. The rake, which was proposed to be launched on April 15, will now roll out only after June.
The clubbing of all five ladies coaches is expected to ensure better security for women passengers. Subodh Jain, member (engineering), said, "We are retrofitting the rake to enhance its capacity. We hope to complete this work by June 30 after which the rake can be introduced."

Bansal launches train services on Dahanu-Churchgate
Thane: Local train services on the 124-km Dahanu-Churchgate route were on Tuesday inaugurated here by Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal on the 160th anniversary of the Indian Railways.
He also inaugurated the Virar car shed on the occasion.
During his address, Bansal said the new train services between Dahanu and Churchgate will go a long way in fulfilling the needs of the people in the area and also to a large extent help improve the economic conditions of tribals in the region.
The Minister said that since Mumbai is the economic capital and contributes majorly to the GDP, it would always be given priority in provision of services and stepping up of infrastructure, especially for people from suburbs.

SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN CHENNAI EGMORE AND BIKANER
T.No.06013 Chennai Egmore – Bikaner Weekly Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 15.15 hrs. on Mondays from 22.4.2013 to 10.6.2013 and arrive Bikaner at 17.00 hrs. on Wednesdays.
T.No.06014 Bikaner - Chennai Egmore Weekly Special will leave Bikaner at 14.55 hrs. on Thursdays from 25.4.2013 to 13.6.2013 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 15.00 hrs. on Saturdays. The composition of the trains will be 4 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Gudur, Nellore, ongole, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal, Ramagundam, Sirpurkagaznagar, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad Mahesana, Palanpur, REVISION IN TIMINGS OF SPECIAL TRAINS ON MRTS SECTION TO BE RUN IN VIEW OF IPL SEASON VI CRICKET MATCHES
Southern Railway had announced special trains between Chennai Beach – Velachery on MRTS section in view of the IPL Season VI cricket matches being held at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai (refer Press release no. 5 dated 05.04.2013). The timings of the special trains on 22nd & 25thApril, 2013 and 14th (instead of 16th as announced earlier), 21st & 22nd May, 2013 are revised as follows.

MUMBAI: Central Railway has decided to run 20 special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Allahabad to clear the extra rush of passengers during summers.
CR's chief public relations officer Vidyadhar Malegaonkar said, "Train No 04116 (Special) will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 3.50pm on every Thursday from April 2 to June 27, 2013 (10 trips) and will arrive Allahabad at 9.50pm next day."
