Man run over by train

JAMSHEDPUR: A 32-year-old man was run over by a train on Wednesday around
8.30am when he tried to get inside the train and instead slipped on to the tracks at Adityapur railway station. Owing to this accident, the Tatanagar-Asansol up line was affected for about 40 minutes.
The government railway police (GRP) Tatanagar in charge, Ramchandra Ram said the victim was identified as Sanjay Mishra who was a resident of road number 32, Adityapur in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district.
He was talking on his mobile phone when he tried to board the Tatanagar-Danapur Express up train (no 18183). "He was probably unable to get a grip of the coach bar and slipped on to the tracks. The train must have run over him," said Ram.
Mishra, an employee of the Adityapur industrial area based Ramkrishna Forging Company, is a native of Bhojpur district of Bihar and was staying in Adityapur for quite sometime after joining the private company that manufactures railway equipment.
Contrary to police report, some people at the Adityapur railway station said the victim jumped before the train apparently with a motive to commit suicide. The GRP has denied all such claims.
