New train service for Karaikudi and Velankanni

Southern Railways announced that there will be a new train service between Chennai – Karaikudi and Chennai – Velankanni on 22nd June.
   Relating to this, Mr.T.R.Balu said that “Manargudi – Coimbatore daily express train service will begin from June 11 onwards. This name has been named as “Semmozhi Express”. The train will start from Mannargudi at 8.10p.m. and will reach Coimbatore the next morning at 5.00. In return, from Coimbatore, it will start at 11.55p.m. and will reach Mannargudi the next morning at 7.55.
   Likewise, from June 22,
the new train named Silambu Express will start its journey between Chennai and Karaikudi (weekly twice). The train service is on Wednesday and Saturday from Chennai at 8.10p.m. and from Karaikudi, the service is on Thursday and Sunday at 10.00p.m. This train will pass through Villupuram, Thrichi and Pudhukottai.
   On the same day, another train service named Velankanni Express is going to start its journey between Chennai and Velankanni. This is a link train service and it will pass through Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam. This train will start from Chennai at 11.45p.m. and will reach its destination at morning 7.45. In return, it will start at 8.45p.m. and will reach Chennai at morning 5.25.”

Surely these three train services will remain in the joyful hearts of southern people.
