The train which started from Chennai on Friday 31st May to Kanniyakumari got struck in the middle due to signal problem in-between
Trichy and Madurai. This train, which should have come to Tirunelveli at 4.50 a.m.,
got delayed by 2 hours and reached Tirunelveli junction at 6.50 a.m. Likewise,
Sendhur Express, Ananthapuri Express and Nellai Express also reached Tirunelveli very late due to this same problem.
There is also another
issue occured near Kerala border. As the electrical wires were cut in Kulithurai
junction, Kollam – Nagercoil passenger delayed in reaching its destination.
Also, Parasuram Express delayed and reached Nagercoil junction at midnight
12.00. Due to this problem, Ernad Express from Mangalore to Nagercoil cancelled
on Friday.
